    • Mr. Square says:

WOW, Dr. Dick; thank you so much. Mandy is a joy and was so full of what we think was fantastic content and we feel so fortunate. She turned us onto your podcast as well! We hope you do stop back.

  2. Hello Mr. and Miss Square,
You two are a delightful treat.
Mandy introduced me to the two of you and your podcast today by forwarding me a link to her interview with you.

I met Mandy in March at a Seattle Counselors Association networking breakfast and training. The day’s topic was on “working with the sex-positive community” presented by Kate Stewart. Since then Kate passed a baton to me and I organized a networking breakfast for sex positive therapists last month. About a dozen of us sex-positive therapists met at Louise’s on Eastlake (in Seattle). Some number of us will be meeting again next month.
Let me introduce myself. I have been working as a psychotherapist in private practice since 1988 specializing in working with couples, both heterosexual and same sex and monogamous, open, poly or kinky. I also specialize in working with trauma survivors, particularly male survivors of sexual trauma. Further, I have expertise in working with the LGBTQ community.
While a bit of a pioneer as a gay activist in the ’80s, adopting twins as an out gay couple in 2000, getting my first (large) tattoo at 45 and being a “sex positive” therapist…my laptop at work is 10 years old, I don’t have a smart phone or an ipod or an ipad (my kids do!!), therefore I am still listening to npr on the radio and watching Rachel Maddow on cable. I know, it is so last century. But, not only is this to further introduce myself, but to let you know I have listened to very few podcasts…at least one, right?…and haven’t listened to the rest of your podcasts that you have archived.
AND, the two of you are delightful. Surely (don’t call me shirley), you two have some history in radio or the like? Anyway, very professional job, great personalities and awesome topic of your show…podcast. I forget his name, but there is some guy named Bee or something, there is the interesting topic of male bisexuality/curiosity (I am a magnet! love it. and have lots of opinions on the topic.) and something like “triple vaginal penetration” that all caught my attention and I’d like to hear more.
In wrapping up, I have only made contact with the other dozen or so therapists in the area that market themselves as “sex positive” in the last four months. So, like this podcast/the two of you I am hearing of more/new resources in this arena which is exciting. For that reason as well, it is a delight to meet you.
Feel free to check out my website which describes a bit more my therapy practice (www.randymarinez.com). And certainly don’t hold back if you would like to refer to me. :-)
    Take care.
    Randy Marinez, MS, LMHC

    • Mr. Square says:

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and for your very kind words regarding our podcast. We feel very fortunate for the opportunity to meet and speak with Mandy both off and on the podcast show. It’s so wonderful for us to hear more and more therapist and professionals are self-identifying as sex positive or kink aware and promoting a culture of personal / individual sexual acceptance. Fantastic!

Having Mr. B on was also fantastic and I’m sure we’ll talk more about the triple vaginal penetration in the future but it really ties back to me, Mr. Square signing both of us up for almost everything on the lifestyle web sites. It’s been a joke ever since and I’m sure we’ll get into more of what we’ve tried and liked vs. tried and may not try again.

Thank you so much again for your kind words. We actually have no previous experience in radio, any type of broadcasting and it’s been another part of our learning experience, making mistakes along the way and just trying to get it right…like being active within the lifestyle.

      All our best,
      Mr. Square

      • Hey Mr. Square (and hello to the Miss!),
Thanks for taking the time to reply. It’s taken me 5 days to find your reply (this internet stuff is so fancy! 😉 ).
I look forward to hearing more podcasts and being in contact.
        Take care,

  3. Mr. CS says:

This was a fantastic episode! Mr. Square I’ve never understood your aversion to labels. This episode made me fully aware of where you are coming from! When you touched on the discrimination in the LS…it was like “woah!” I am a bi-racial male that had the fear of being rejected as such in the LS. So much so, I let it be known to any dates before even exchanging face pics. Just so there wasn’t a scene or drop out of engagement. Although before I didn’t connect your views on labels with my fear until now! Thank you for that! You guys do a great job on the behind the scenes stuff and has helped us a ton!! Seriously see this podcast as a guide! Thanks, keep it up!
